Orange You Glad To See Me Smoothie
It’s that time of year when you’re practically surrounded by the walking dead (and I’m not talking about zombies) shuffling their feet, stuffy noses, sneezing and people just plain feeling sick. That’s why you should boost your intake of Vitamin C to help ward off the plague. This smoothie is jam packed with a healthy daily dose of Vitamin C thanks to the almighty Orange and Carrots. Throw in some Swiss Chard and Kale and you’re set to go!
1 small – medium Orange, zested (save this zest for the smoothie), discard peel.
1 small Banana or half of a large one.
1/2 cup of Baby Kale
1/2 cup of Swiss Chard (rainbow or your favorite)
1 large Carrot.
1 cup of coconut water, unsweetened
Place all items into NutriBullet or blender and process until smooth using Mixing Blade. (vegan/vegetarian/paleo/gluten-free friendly!) Makes approx 16oz serving size, approx 200-300 calories. Enjoy!
